Focus Construct is delivering the Mudgeeraba Aquatic Centre for Gold Coast City Council. Focus is engaged as principal contractor on a Design & Construct construction contract, covering multi-trade building and aquatic upgrade works at an existing public pool facility. The project involves construction of a new 25m 7-lane pool, demolition of the existing pool, upgrades to the community play areas, and refurbishment and extension of the admin/amenities building.
The scope is a full new build pool: demolition and civil works; concrete structure; structural steel and metalwork; pool shell / aquatic works (with specialist pool builder); filtration, plant and plumbing; waterplay equipment; electrical, mechanical and fire services; architectural fitout (partitions, roofing, joinery, finishes, glazing); external works, fencing and landscaping; design consultants; and provisional items. Works are on a live Council aquatic site requiring coordination of plant, pool drainage/refill interfaces, and specialist long-lead packages.
