Focus Construct is the principal contractor to the Department of Education (Queensland) for Milton State School B Block Flood Mitigation works. The form of contract is AS 4300, with progress claims under the Building Industry Fairness Act 2017, Project Trust Account requirements, Work Area Access Permit (WAAP), and neighbour notifications for a constrained school site.
The works are a major structural and flood-mitigation upgrade/refurbishment of B Block on a live school campus, including demolition and lift removal, temporary bracing/propping, concrete/pad and pier works, structural steel and metalwork, roofing, timber windows, finishes, services, lift replacement pathway, design consultants, and significant ground and hazardous-material works. Delivery includes a large IFC drawing set, Stage 1 building approval package, heritage requirements, and formal PCG/weekly reporting.
